It is commonly used in plumbing, gas, and industrial piping systems to split or merge fluid and gas flow. The threaded connection female NPT threads for secure, leak-proof connections. Made of black malleable iron, it is ideal for non-corrosive environments such as natural gas, air, steam, and water systems. The black coating provides moderate corrosion resistance but is not ideal for water-based systems.
